• Account Data: When you create an account (including Sign in with Apple or Google), we collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide during registration.
• Test and Learning Data: When you use Quiz Zone, mock tests, flashcards, weekly quizzes, or drawings, we collect your responses, scores, progress, and related performance data to provide feedback and insights.
• Photos and User Content: If you upload photos for Part B answers or drawing submissions, we store those images so we can display and review your work.
• Purchase History: When you buy Quiz Zone subscriptions or mock-test bundles, we record purchase and entitlement information. On the website this may involve Razorpay; in the mobile apps purchases go through Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat.
• Device and Usage Data: We collect data such as device type, app version, IP address, and interaction patterns to operate and improve the service. On the website this may include cookies and Google Analytics. In the apps we may use Firebase Analytics for product interaction (we do not use App Tracking Transparency / cross-app tracking).
• Approximate Location: On mobile, we may use coarse (approximate) location only to help protect your account from being used on another device at the same time. We do not use location for advertising or tracking.
• Push Notifications: If you allow notifications, we store a device push token so we can send relevant alerts (for example about your learning activity).
• Guest Purchases (iOS): On iOS you may subscribe or buy without signing in first. In that case we may create an anonymous account with no name or email so the purchase can be attached to a session. You can later Sign in with Apple or Google to keep that purchase on other devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and personalize your learning experience on D'Shala, including delivering quizzes, mock tests, and performance analysis.
• To process payments and unlock purchased content (website and in-app purchases).
• To communicate with you about updates, new services, and promotions (you can opt out of marketing communications).
• To improve the functionality and user experience of our website and apps by analyzing usage.
• To protect accounts (including single-device session checks) and to comply with legal requirements.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use trusted providers to operate the service, including Supabase (backend and auth), Apple and Google (sign-in and app store billing), RevenueCat (mobile purchase management), Razorpay (website payments), and Firebase (analytics and push notifications where enabled).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access and review the personal information we hold about you.
• Request corrections or updates to your personal information.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data from the Dshala iOS or Android app: open Profile → Account → Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm. This removes your login so you can sign in again with a new empty account. We keep an internal analytics copy of the deleted account until an administrator permanently removes it. You can also email hello@dshala.com for help. Deleting your account results in the loss of saved learning data in the app. App Store and Google Play subscription cancellations are managed in your store account settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our data deletion policies.

7. Third-Party Links

Our website and apps may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
